Since 2006, Alabama Non-Profit Housing, Inc. (dba Southeast NonProfit Housing) has been dedicated to providing safe, sanitary, and affordable housing to farm workers and their families. Operating in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia, they focus on developing housing and offering financial literacy programs, with a core commitment to local communities.
The On-Farm Housing Grant Program, funded by the U.S. Department of Labor under the Workforce Investment & Opportunity Act (WIOA), aims to assist farmers and growers in upgrading or improving their farm labor housing. Southeast Non-Profit Housing offers a matching grant up to $7,500 for eligible farmers to repair and upgrade their existing farm labor housing. To qualify, farmers must provide a matching financial amount or equivalent for every dollar provided by SENPH.
