The grant targets projects that may provide suicide prevention support in underserved areas and should focus on one or more of the following: addressing generational trauma, veteran connectedness, means restriction/gun safety, increasing access to treatment services, youth coalitions, primary prevention, support for ongoing community efforts, building on past successes, needs assessments, community mobilization, and targeting high-risk populations.
