ASCA represents, supports and advances the creative endeavors of individuals, organizations and agencies throughout Alaska.
The Annual Operating Support Grant program, overseen by the Alaska State Council on the Arts (ASCA), is designed to provide financial assistance to eligible organizations for a portion of their ongoing artistic and administrative functions. This encompasses expenses such as salaries, travel, promotion, and production costs of program activities or a majority of the organization’s yearly activities. The grants support endeavors in a wide range of artistic fields, including dance, visual arts, literature, music, theater, media arts, and traditional Alaska Native arts, with a strong focus on projects that enhance the cultural heritage of Alaska and foster the creation of new works by Alaskan artists. Eligible organizations are allowed to submit one application per fiscal year for this funding.
