Alberta Blue Cross®'s Built Together program is a community grant initiative aimed at promoting active living through the development of active-living infrastructure projects. This program offers a one-time grant of $50,000 to support the creation or enhancement of spaces in communities across Alberta that encourage physical activity. Since its inception in 2013, it has supported 33 projects with more than $1.6 million in funding. The grant focuses on infrastructure projects such as outdoor adult gyms, cycling paths, playgrounds, skate parks, and outdoor rinks. These projects must be publicly accessible and not require a membership fee to ensure broad community benefit.
