The mission of the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation is to support initiatives that fight hunger in communities throughout the United States and Canada. It provides funding to nonprofit organizations involved in food assistance and nutrition education programs, including local food pantries, food banks, and meal programs for children, families, and seniors.
The grant program focuses on fighting hunger by funding organizations involved in direct food assistance or food distribution, food rescue, and nutrition education related to food assistance. Grants are awarded based on criteria such as affiliation with Alpha Gamma Delta national partners, collaborative relationships with Alpha Gamma Delta chapters, the mission or vision of the organization, financial health, target populations and areas served, purpose and sustainability of the project, amongst others.
