    Overview

The Community Change Grants program by America Walks, supported by Active People, Healthy Nations partners, aims to encourage walkability by funding programs and projects that innovate and include community members in the creation of active, engaged, and healthy living spaces. Fifteen grantees are awarded $1,500 each for projects promoting healthy, active, and engaged communities through improved walkability. Priority is given to projects that increase physical activity, involve new stakeholders in walkability efforts, emphasize equitable and inclusive health and design, and center the concerns of BIPOC residents. Additionally, in collaboration with General Motors, a supplement of 15 additional grants is provided to projects in towns and cities with GM facilities, aiming for a broader impact on community health and walkability.
