The American Academy of Audiology aims to advance the science, practice, and accessibility of hearing and balance healthcare. It serves as the collective voice of the audiology profession, advocating for audiologists and future audiologists by promoting professional development, education, research, and public awareness of hearing and balance disorders.
The Empowering Students Scholarship, funded by the American Academy of Audiology Foundation and generously supported by Oticon Hearing Foundation, grants $5,000 to six students showing exceptional potential as clinical audiologists. The scholarship, totaling $30,000, of which up to $20,000 is specifically designated for Black students, is based on the applicants' resumes, rubrics, and personal statements.
