The Focused Projects Grant for Junior Investigators by the AASM Foundation is designed to support the career development of early career investigators who are focused on basic, translational, clinical, or population sleep and circadian science. It provides seed funding for mentored research projects to help jumpstart the recipients' research careers, facilitate a track record of funding, and increase competitiveness for larger grants. This grant targets projects that utilize the National Sleep Research Resource to address significant unanswered questions related to sleep or sleep disorders. The grant offers up to $40,000 for one year, with indirect costs capped at 8%.
