The American Academy of Underwater Sciences awards research scholarships to graduate students engaged in projects where diving is a principal research tool or involves the study of scientific diving. The program awards two $3000 scholarships to one Master program student and one Ph.D. candidate, with the possibility of two additional $1500 scholarships based on proposal ranking. These scholarships support the advancement of scientific diving practices through education and research.
