AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships (STPF) aim to provide outstanding scientists and engineers the opportunity to learn about policymaking while contributing their knowledge and analytical skills to the federal policymaking process. This program offers yearlong assignments in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the federal government in Washington, D.C. It seeks to build a large corps of policy-savvy leaders from across academia, government, nonprofits, and industry to serve both the nation and the world. The grant offers a stipend ranging from $89,000 to $116,000 per year, reimbursement for health care insurance, and includes a comprehensive Professional Development program designed to enhance fellows’ abilities as science policy leaders.
