To serve as the leading organization for advancing the health of college students and campus communities by advocating for, educating about, and researching college health and well-being. The American College Health Association (ACHA) commits to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and accessibility (DEIJA), supports healthy campus environments, shares knowledge across disciplines, and focuses on holistic, data-driven health and well-being approaches.
The College Well-Being Award, offered by the American College Health Foundation (ACHF), grants up to $3,500 to institutions of higher education. This funding supports the creation or enhancement of campus infrastructure aimed at improving student well-being through innovative programming and outcomes research. Focused on a broad concept of well-being, the award encourages fresh, evaluative approaches to programming that support students' happiness, health, and success. Criteria for assessment include a clear definition of well-being, activities that enhance it, collaborative efforts for a shared vision, innovation, and a plan for sustaining and evaluating the impact of the initiatives.
