The John E. Skinner Memorial Fund offers travel awards to deserving graduate or exceptional undergraduate students to attend the American Fisheries Society (AFS) annual meeting. Selection is based on academic qualifications, professional service, and the reasons for wanting to attend the meeting. Successful applicants receive up to $800 for travel expenses or conference registration for virtual attendance, along with a one-year AFS membership. The application process involves submissions by both the student and their mentor or faculty advisor.
