    Overview

    The Lung Cancer Discovery Award seeks to support the development of innovative research ideas and approaches that have the potential to significantly reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with lung cancer. This includes projects that explore basic biology, genetics of the host and tumor, and advances in screening, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. The grant encourages research that can:

    • Transform diagnostic and therapeutic paradigms.
    • Enhance understanding of lung cancer among never smokers.
    • Investigate EGFR-driven or other genetic forms of lung cancer.
    • Develop novel screening and prevention strategies.
    • Promote innovation through novel approaches.
    • Accelerate lung cancer research progress to improve patient care and save lives.

    This grant provides funding of $100,000 per year for up to two years to facilitate these research goals.
