To promote the growth and development of plant biology, to encourage and publish research in plant biology, and to promote the interests, growth, and education of plant scientists in general.
The Eric E. Conn Young Investigator Award recognizes outstanding young scientists in the early stages of their careers who exhibit potential to make significant contributions to plant biology. Named to honor Eric E. Conn's significant achievements, this award focuses on researchers demonstrating excellence not just in research but also in outreach, public service, mentoring, or teaching. Aimed at Society members within five years post-Ph.D., it includes a monetary prize, a one-year membership to the Society, and accounts for career breaks. This biennial award underscores ASPB's commitment to nurturing new talent and spotlighting the impactful work of industry scientists in agriculture and plant biology.
