    Overview

The Stephen Hales Prize is a monetary award given annually by ASPB to honor an individual member's notable contributions to plant biology. This recognition is inspired by the work of Reverend Stephen Hales and his seminal 1727 publication "Vegetable Staticks," which laid foundational knowledge in plant science. The awardee, chosen for their significant service to the plant science community, is invited to present on a plant biology topic at ASPB's next annual meeting.
