The grant areas for this year include Access to Veterinary Care Research, which looks to improve AVC knowledge and implementation; Applied Behavior Research, focused on addressing behavior problems in shelter animals to reduce euthanasia; Cruelty Research, aiming to enhance cruelty prevention and response through research in multiple disciplines; and Psychological Trauma Research, which supports work on identifying behavioral and biological indicators of mental suffering in animals due to cruelty and neglect.
