The mission of KidneyCure, as part of the ASN (American Society of Nephrology), is to advance kidney health by supporting scientists in their early careers. It aims to fund research that leads to a better understanding of kidney biology and disease, fostering innovations in treatment, and advancements in patient care. Through its funding programs, KidneyCure seeks to equip young scholars with the resources they need to make significant contributions to nephrology.
The Ben J. Lipps Research Fellowship Program aims to support nephrology fellows in conducting original and significant research projects. It focuses on fostering the training of fellows who have a strong motivation to contribute to the understanding of kidney biology and disease. The program seeks to help establish the beginnings of an independent career for these fellows by providing financial support of $50,000 per year for up to two years. A limit of two applications per sponsor/mentor/principal investigator per application cycle is enforced.
