    The Henry Baldwin Ward Medal recognizes outstanding contributions to the field of parasitology. It is named after H.B. Ward, the first president of the American Society of Parasitologists and a notable researcher in parasitology and freshwater biology. The grant includes travel and accommodation expenses up to $1000, an honorarium, a certificate, and a special bronze Ward Medal. Recipients are expected to deliver an acceptance speech at the Annual Meeting. Nominees must be members in good standing of the society and the nomination requires a complete Curriculum Vitae, along with three supporting letters that critically evaluate the nominee's scientific work.
