American Society of Biomechanics: Pre-Doctoral Award

    To encourage and foster the exchange of information and ideas among biomechanists working in different disciplines and fields of application, such as biological sciences, exercise and sports science, health sciences, ergonomics and human factors, and engineering and applied science. It aims to facilitate the development of biomechanics as a basic and applied science.

    Overview

    The Pre-Doctoral Award program aims to recognize early achievements of promising scientists before the attainment of their Ph.D. It prioritizes the scientific quality of the submitted material for award selection. Awardees are required to attend the annual ASB meeting to present their work in a special awards session and are expected to submit a full-length manuscript for publication in the Journal of Biomechanics. The award includes an engraved plaque, a $500 check, and a waiver of meeting fees for the annual ASB meeting.
