Our mission is to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.
Seed Grants are designed to provide initial support for a wide range of ALS research projects. These 1-year awards, worth up to $50,000, aim to fund one or two critical experiments intended to generate preliminary data. This preliminary data will then be used to apply for larger grants. Applicants do not need preliminary data but must explain why their proposed experiments are crucial and how the results could help secure more substantial funding. The program encourages applications from early career researchers in ALS and investigators new to the field of ALS research.
