The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture - AFAC, founded in 2007 by Arab cultural activists, supports artists, writers, researchers, intellectuals, and organizations from the Arab region in the fields of arts and culture. With programs spanning cinema, photography, visual and performing arts, writing, music, documentary filmmaking, research, trainings, and cultural events, AFAC champions the cultural production and creative expression of the Arab world.
The Performing Arts grant from the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) supports a broad range of performance arts, encompassing classical, folk, and experimental theatre for all age groups, dance performances (including contemporary dance), public intervention performances, street art, live art, interactive and site-specific performances, documentary theatre, and festivals. It also includes support for workshops related to playwriting, acting, directing, dancing, and choreography. Grants are awarded annually, with amounts ranging from a few thousand U.S. dollars up to $25,000 for individuals and teams, and up to $35,000 for institutions and collectives.
