Lead, serve, and collaborate to mobilize enduring philanthropy for a better Arizona.
The SYPF is a grantmaking collaboration designed to enrich, enhance, and expand summer offerings for children and youth in Maricopa County. It simplifies the grant-seeking process for nonprofits by using a single application for funding from multiple local funders, including the Arizona Community Foundation, Arizona Republic Season for Sharing, and others. Grants support a wide range of program activities focusing on personal development, arts and culture, recreation, academic education, and health, with a particular emphasis on serving disadvantaged youth and addressing childhood obesity through nutrition and physical activity. The SYPF encourages innovation, community support, increased service capacity, and collaborative efforts among organizations to serve more youth effectively. Grants range from $5,000 to $25,000, with a total of approximately $615,000 awarded.
