The Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County (AHCMC) partners with the community to cultivate and support excellence in the arts and humanities, expand access to cultural expression, and contribute to economic vitality in the region.
The Wheaton Cultural Project Grants (WCPG) are designed to support arts and/or humanities organizations, groups, and individual artists and scholars in Montgomery County, MD. The grants aim to fund impactful projects within the Wheaton community, providing professional opportunities for artists and scholars to engage with the public in various disciplines, including performing, media, visual, literary arts, folk and traditional arts, history, and philosophy. Specifically, the program focuses on supporting underserved communities, promoting Wheaton's cultural diversity, aiding local artists and scholars, and stimulating local economic activity through the activation of Wheaton as a cultural destination. Eligible projects can range from performances and exhibitions to festivals, public art, and educational programs in the arts and humanities.
