ArtsKC Grants strive to make the arts more accessible, support a vibrant arts community, and encourage excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurship across various art forms including visual arts, dance, music, theater, poetry, and interdisciplinary arts. Furthermore, Mission Support Grants specifically assist non-profit organizations focused on the arts, providing unrestricted funding. The assessment criteria for these grants include artistic and programmatic excellence, community impact, diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, financial management and need, and comparison to other applications. All grants are initially set at $5,000 with potential for multi-year funding depending on ArtsKC's fundraising success, and extra support may be provided to diverse-led organizations.
