Asian American Futures and Gold House aim to empower the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities by ensuring they are seen, heard, empowered, and united. They focus on promoting accurate representation, advocacy, resource allocation, and fostering unity among AAPI and other communities of color through innovative philanthropic practices.
The Gold Futures Challenge is a grant program designed to support AAPI organizations in their efforts to ensure the AAPI community is Seen, Heard, Empowered, and United. It offers a total of ten prizes amounting to $500,000, divided among the winners based on public votes. The challenge prioritizes projects that work towards accurate and meaningful representation (Seen), establish a strong voice for advocacy (Heard), ensure access to resources for self and community improvement (Empowered), and promote a unified identity among diverse AAPI groups in solidarity with other communities of color (United). In addition to monetary awards, recipients gain access to technical platforms, leadership and organizational training, and become part of the Gold Futures family, enhancing their network and support system.
