Founded in 2008 by Brandi Carlile, Tim and Phil Hanseroth, it collaborates with fans, nonprofits, and corporations to turn voices of song into voices of action, adapting to the changing needs of humanity and supporting a diverse demographic. Every campaign launched is backed by donors and fans, with $1.50 from every concert ticket sold contributing to their efforts. Since its inception, the foundation has donated almost $6 million to support various causes including disaster relief, protection for children and families in war-torn countries, food insecurity programs, racial justice, incarceration prevention, and self-defense workshops for marginalized communities.
