    The Billy Mock Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established in 2008, by The Mock Family and friends. Their mission is simply to “help others” which is achieved through our pay-it-forward program, educational grants, and support of families in need especially those experiencing personal crisis and hardship.

    Overview

    The Educational Grants Program provides educational grants to local students and school programs.  The Billy Mock Foundation has an essay contest to award $500 educational grants to 8th grade students entering high school, and up to $1500 to school programs providing safe, nurturing, educational environments for “at-risk” students. The essay is to describe how the candidate has made a difference in their world by positively impacting the lives of others. The deadline for essays is May 1st each year. Grants are awarded in June. Essays are only considered in the year submitted.
