The Biochemical Society aims to advance the molecular and cellular biosciences, facilitating the sharing of expertise, supporting the advancement of biochemistry and molecular biology, and promoting their importance in the wider biological context.
The Biochemical Society's Summer Vacation Studentship scheme offers 6-week placements for undergraduate students in biochemistry and related subjects. The program provides funding for placements in four specific areas: programming skills, laboratory-based research and computational biology/bioinformatics, scientific publishing, and public engagement and science communication. It is designed to enhance students' skills and experience in their field of study while promoting a broader understanding and appreciation for biochemistry. Applicants are restricted to applying for one studentship within the scheme for 2024.
