    Overview

The Supporting Home-based Child Care Networks Grant aims to enhance the early care and education system in North Carolina, accommodating the diverse needs of children and families. Recognizing the decline in licensed family child care and the minimal support for Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care providers, this three-year grant offers $300,000 per organization to up to four home-based child care networks. These networks will receive assistance in professional development, business, and advocacy, and engage in a statewide community of practice to share insights and strategies for improving the sector's policy, economic, and regulatory conditions.
