    Overview

The Good Neighbor Authority (GNA) program is designed to enhance collaborative efforts for forest, rangeland, and watershed restoration projects. Key activities under this grant include treating insect-and disease-infested trees, reducing hazardous fuels, and undertaking restoration or improvement projects to enhance forest, rangeland, and watershed health along with fish and wildlife habitats. The GNA encompasses work on Federal, non-Federal, and Indian tribal lands, extending support to projects that benefit BLM-managed lands directly. This initiative aligns with the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, focusing on ecosystem restoration, resilience, and wildfire risk reduction, thereby channeling funding mainly towards States and Indian tribes for treatments on Federal lands.
