HCAI is committed to expanding equitable access to health care for all Californians—ensuring every community has the health workforce they need, safe and reliable health care facilities, and health information that can help make care more effective and affordable.
The Community Care Expansion (CCE) Program Grant is designed to support the acquisition, construction, and rehabilitation of adult and senior care facilities, specifically targeting the needs of SSI/SSP and CAPI applicants and recipients, including individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The grant aims to preserve and expand residential care settings with a sizeable fund of $570 million allocated for capital expansion projects. Part of these funds may be used to establish a capitalized operating subsidy reserve (COSR), providing financial support for up to 5 years. Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications promptly due to rolling funding until resources are depleted and adherence to strict deadlines.
