The Community Economic Resilience Fund (CERF) Tribal Funding Opportunity aims to promote economic development within tribal communities by supporting tribal-led projects centered around planning and implementation. The program is a collaborative effort involving the Employment Development Department (EDD), the Labor and Workforce Development Agency (LWDA), the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR), and the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz). It offers up to $25 million in funding, with administration funding available for the intermediary up to 15% of the total award. The primary focus is on facilitating economic resilience and growth within tribal nations through targeted financial support.
