The mission of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) is to conserve California native plants and their natural habitats, and increase understanding, appreciation, and horticultural use of native plants.
The Oak Tree Grant Program (OTGP) by the CNPS - Shasta Chapter aims to enhance public awareness among all age groups about California native plants and their habitats. This is achieved through supporting various initiatives such as garden and landscaping projects, nature walks, library projects, and general plant studies.
