The Charter School Facilities Credit Enhancement Grant Program provides grants to support the financing of acquisition, renovation, or construction of charter school facilities, or the refinancing of existing charter school facility debt. The grants aim to reduce the overall cost of borrowing for charter schools by funding debt service reserve accounts, eliminating the need to fund these reserves through bond proceeds. This federally-funded program awards grants on a rolling, first-come first-served basis, subject to funding and program requirements satisfaction.
