The Capitol Hill Community Foundation aims to strengthen and care for the Capitol Hill community by leveraging neighborhood generosity and idealism. It focuses on supporting activities, projects, and organizations that enrich residents' lives and celebrate the area's history. Since 1989, it has contributed over $6.6 million to diverse initiatives, including seed funding for new efforts, supporting community programs, and undertaking significant initiatives to benefit the neighborhood.
The Keller Grant is a singular grant of $25,000 awarded annually by the Capitol Hill Community Foundation to support the creation or expansion of major projects with the potential to notably benefit the Capitol Hill community. Mirroring the objectives of the Innovation Grants, it aims to fund significant initiatives that can make a substantial positive impact in the neighborhood. Applications for the grant are accepted until a specified deadline, with the Foundation announcing the recipient by February and the award presentation occurring in the spring during the Capitol Hill Community Achievement Awards ceremony.
