To improve the process of organ transplantation for needy Georgia residents. The trust distributes grants to 501(c)(3) organizations located in Georgia that can provide financial assistance to needy residents requiring transplants of eyes, kidneys, hearts, and other human organs. Up to 25% of the trust’s income may be used for researching methods of improving the transplantation of eyes, kidneys, hearts, and other human organs.
The Carlos and Marguerite Mason Trust focuses on meeting the needs of Georgia residents in the area of organ transplantation by awarding grants to qualified organizations and institutions. It supports capital improvements, start-up grants for new projects and programs that address the critical need for patient financial support in solid organ transplantation, challenge or matching grant proposals, and grants up to three years in length.
