Guided by Catholic values, the Foundation aims to support nonprofit organizations that enhance the lives and futures of individuals and communities in Greater Los Angeles, focusing on social welfare, health and wellness, education, and religion.
The grant program supports diverse causes through its Four Areas of Funding: Social Welfare, Health and Wellness, Education, and Religion. It encourages applications from nonprofits that assist vulnerable populations, offer critical needs like food and shelter, empower young people in underserved communities, provide illness and life counseling, support individuals with disabilities and seniors, enhance education for underserved Catholic schools, and bolster religious evangelization and mission-based work in the Roman Catholic community. The Foundation also considers proposals based on monthly Thematic Areas of Funding, aligning with specific themes of an organization's work.
