The Catholic Foundation is dedicated to supporting the needs of the Catholic community institutions and people. It aims to provide financial support to this community indefinitely, fulfilling its mission-driven commitment with a unique focus.
The grant program from The Catholic Foundation is designed to support Dallas-area Catholic schools, parishes, and non-profit organizations through its Philanthropy Fund and various endowment funds. Grants are awarded based on several conditions, such as the project's potential for success, collaboration that enhances impact, sustainability beyond the grant period, innovative and efficient use of funds, resource sharing to reduce expenses, well-planned problem-solving and service delivery approaches, promotion of better human relationships and community sense, alignment with the organization's mission, and the ability to fund the project within a year. Grant applications are accepted biannually by invitation after a Letter of Intent is approved. An organization is eligible to apply for grants up to $100,000 but must wait two years after the approval of their last grant before requesting another, with additional stipulations for organizations currently holding open grants.
