    Overview

This grant program focuses on addressing the disproportionate HIV incidence and prevalence rates among sexual, gender, and racial/ethnic minority groups, including gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM), Black women, and transgender women. It aims to move beyond traditional interventions that focus solely on psychosocial factors and individual HIV-related risk behaviors, which have been deemed insufficient. The grant supports the development and implementation of upstream interventions targeting larger social and structural factors such as racism, discrimination, stigma, unemployment/underemployment, and housing instability, which drive HIV disparities.
