    Type of Support

    Overview

The grant aims to establish and maintain a network of Regional Centers for Public Health Preparedness and Response. Its primary goal is to enhance the implementation of evidence-based strategies and interventions (EBSIs) to improve public health preparedness and response efforts, reflecting the distinct needs of diverse communities. Support will be provided for up to ten centers, one in each of the 10 HHS (Health and Human Services) Regions, focusing on coordinating with state, local, and tribal health departments, health care facilities, and coalitions to tailor responses to community needs. These centers will also develop activities supporting regional objectives, possibly extend support for evidence-based practice implementation or related research, and one center will receive additional funding to aid in the coordination and provision of technical assistance and training.
