We fund programs located and based in Milwaukee County with a focus on encouraging the healthy - physical, emotional, cognitive, and social - development of children.
The grant supports initiatives aimed at the healthy development of children in Milwaukee County through prevention programs, positive youth activities, family strengthening, and relevant research. Priority is given to programs that are community-based, have clear outcomes, and are program-specific. Funding categories include early childhood education, home visiting, parenting programs, after-school activities that promote self-esteem and skills development, family empowerment programs, and research evaluating the impact of societal changes on children's well-being. General operating support is also provided for organizations whose missions align with the Healthy Children’s Initiative.
