The focus includes influencing the investment patterns of emerging economies, particularly those of Brazil and China.

    The grant program aims to support the advancement of afterschool and summer learning opportunities for children and youth. It emphasizes the critical role these programs play in enhancing students' educational achievements, such as attending school more regularly, making gains in reading and math, improving grades, increasing graduation rates, and developing positive social skills and behavior. With over 85 years of support, the funder is committed to making afterschool and summer learning programs available to every child and family in need. The grantmaking focuses on three main areas: Building an Afterschool Infrastructure, Fostering Afterschool Policy, and Improving Afterschool Quality & Innovation. This includes supporting organizations that strengthen the capacity of statewide afterschool networks, inform policy development to increase program quality and access, and conduct research to identify and expand on impactful afterschool program models and practices.
