The mission of the Child Health Foundation (CHF) is to improve the health and well-being of children and infants by supporting innovative research and service projects. CHF focuses on new biomedical and social technologies that contribute to significant improvements in child health globally, including advancements like oral rehydration therapy, treatments for pneumonia, vaccinations, and vitamin A supplementation.
For 2023, the Child Health Foundation will not have an open call for proposals but will instead invite previous applicants to submit proposals for innovative research or service projects aimed at improving the health of newborn infants in their first year. The foundation is interested in a range of innovative biomedical and social science projects with the potential for wide application. Projects should not focus on general medical care without innovation but instead on unique challenges requiring novel solutions. CHF looks for projects that leverage local NGOs' insights and can demonstrate measurable results within a year, applicable in developing countries or the United States. The funding available will dictate the number of projects approved.
