The Child Neurology Foundation aims to support child neurology through partnerships and funding initiatives that enhance clinical decision support systems and improve patient care in neurology departments.
The Dr. Kenneth F. Swaiman Medical Student Scholarship, sponsored by the Child Neurology Foundation, is designed to honor the legacy of Dr. Swaiman and encourage medical students from the U.S. or Canada to pursue a career in child neurology. It provides three $6,000 summer research scholarships for second or third-year medical students interested in basic or clinical research projects in child neurology, under a child neurologist’s guidance. Additionally, up to $1,500 is offered for travel expenses to attend the annual Child Neurology Society meeting.
