The Wyeth Foundation for American Art focuses on encouraging and supporting the exploration, appreciation, and understanding of American art through various initiatives, including funding publications on art from the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The Professional Development Fellowship in Art History by CAA is designed for graduate students and scholars specializing in art, architecture, and/or design history, curation, or criticism, particularly those who have recently received their PhD or are in the final year of completing it. This fellowship aims to support the preparation of the PhD for publication or final research efforts. It emphasizes assistance to multicultural art historians and those from underrepresented or culturally diverse communities. Recipients receive a one-time award, which can be utilized for job-search expenses, image licensing, publishing costs, and more. Additionally, fellows are awarded a free one-year CAA membership and complimentary registration to the next Annual Conference. An Honorable Mention may also be granted, offering similar membership and conference benefits. The grant amount for the fellowship is $10,000.
