The Wyeth Foundation for American Art focuses on encouraging and supporting the exploration, appreciation, and understanding of American art through various initiatives, including funding publications on art from the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The Michael Aurbach Fellowship for Excellence in Visual Art aims to recognize and honor College Art Association (CAA) members who have obtained an MFA or equivalent in studio art and are actively teaching studio classes, regardless of whether they are employed full-time or part-time. This grant is awarded to support these artists in achieving their professional goals within the visual arts field. The selection process involves a jury of artists and is based solely on the merit of the applicant's work without the need for a proposal. Each year, the fellowship provides one artist member with a $7,500 award and registration to the CAA Annual Conference. This opportunity is open to qualified artist members teaching at both American and international universities or community colleges.
