Colorado Parks and Wildlife aims to advance and balance outdoor recreation with conservation efforts across the state of Colorado. They focus on collaboration and networking to support their mission.
The Colorado Non-Motorized Grants Program is funded by Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) and the Federal Recreational Trails Program (RTP). It aims to improve outdoor recreation opportunities while protecting wildlife, habitat, and cultural resources. Eligible projects include trail construction, maintenance, planning, support, and a pilot category funding trail stewardship crews for work on existing trails. These grants support new trail or trailhead construction, maintenance or re-route of existing trails, trail layout and design, enhancement of volunteer organizations, and implementation of trail training and education.
