CFT is committed to investing in capacity building to help North Texas nonprofits enhance their ability to serve their communities effectively. This involves supporting organizations in strengthening the competencies and skills necessary to fulfill their missions.
The grant program aims to support nonprofit organizations in North Texas with annual budgets of less than $3 million that work within specific focus areas, including financial assistance, housing support, case management, out-of-school time programs, and job training and career support. The funding is intended for capacity-building programs across various operational aspects such as Fundraising, Leadership Development, Marketing, Organizational Effectiveness, Recruitment & Retention, and Technology, with grant amounts ranging from $2,500-$15,000. The evaluation of proposals will consider how well they meet the grant's eligibility requirements and funding priorities, the clarity and definition of the capacity-building project, and how the project supports the organization's mission. The grant encourages applications that address up to three capacity-building priorities, offering a broad spectrum of project types eligible for funding.
