    Overview

The grant program from CFECI is designed to bolster the nonprofit sector by offering financial assistance for capacity building and technical support. With grants of up to $5,000, nonprofit organizations in East Central Illinois have the opportunity to enhance various operational areas such as communications, data management, diversity, equity and inclusion, financial management, fundraising, governance, leadership, mission and strategy, program delivery, and program evaluation. This initiative aims at supporting projects like leadership development, planning activities, board development, improving internal operations, and technology upgrades among others. Each of these endeavors is targeted at amplifying the nonprofits' core systems and operations, thereby enabling them to serve their communities more effectively now and in the future. Applicants are also encouraged to explore training, consulting, and coaching services that align with their needs, for which CFECI offers resources to connect with local experts in nonprofit capacity building.
