We enable and promote philanthropy that inspires, facilitates, and fosters a vibrant and engaged Chattahoochee Valley. We aspire to be the premier center for thoughtful philanthropy for those aiming to improve their communities in the Chattahoochee Valley, both now and in the future. Our mission encompasses assisting donors with a variety of financial assets to fulfill their charitable interests effectively, responsibly investing assets for sustained grantmaking, understanding and sharing community needs to foster improvement, and leading collaborative efforts to respond to these needs and opportunities.
The Community Impact Grant by the Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley aims to support and amplify philanthropic efforts within the Chattahoochee Valley. Formed in 1998, the Foundation oversees assets exceeding $280 million across over 330 funds, contributing to a wide range of charitable purposes. The grant program, in alignment with the Columbus 2025 initiative, seeks to reduce poverty, increase prosperity, and enhance the quality of life within the greater Columbus region and beyond. With up to $100,000 committed in unrestricted grant funds for this cycle, awards will range from $10,000 to $25,000. Each awarded grant requires a 50% match from cash or in-kind donations, excluding volunteer hours in project budget considerations. This approach aims to foster broader community engagement and leverage additional resources to maximize impact on community improvement efforts.
